Dessert #26

Mmm... Mince Tarts. My Grandmother made mince tarts for Christmas, a little different from these, hers had solid tops with holes where she poked them with a fork. But they had this perfect golden glaze when the sugar browned in the oven. This piece is 4" x 6" and is painted on a deep canvas. $100, or $90 if you can guess who painted it. And if you've never tried a mince tart, make this the year!

Dessert #20

I know you can tell who painted this one, but we'll play along anyway. A Christmas tradition, (where I come from) the mince, or mincemeat tart. Sitting on a snowy blue background, it has the prettiest top I have ever seen. It makes me want to go into the kitchen to see how they did that! This little piece is 4" square on a standard depth canvas. Can you see a little collection of these on easels along a mantle? I can! $85, or $75 if you guess who the artist is.

Would you like to be? These little "desserts" make a beautiful statement when grouped together, or fill a small space with charm. Whether they end up in your kitchen, dining room, or hall is up to you. And like the cupcake series, they also make sweet baby shower or wedding gifts! A new piece will be available daily Monday through Friday. The price of each piece will include shipping via priority mail and applicable taxes. And we've decided that we'll add a little twist just for fun, if you decide that you want to purchase a piece, simply email Kathrine at kallencole@aol.com The twist is we won't tell which of us painted each piece in the desription. If you correctly guess who painted the piece you wish to purchase, we'll take $10 off the price. You have a 50/50 chance, so it's worth a try! Once the piece is marked sold, we'll tell who painted it! We can accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, as well as personal checks. We hope you find a few you love!

A note on our canvases.

A popular new trend we are seeing in the art world is the grouping of different thicknesses of canvases. 1/2" thick canvases hung along 1 1/2" thick canvases and so on. It adds an element of playfulness and depth. So we have decided to give a variety of canvases a try. Additionally, if you'd like to have your paintings framed in a traditional moulding, the narrower canvases make this simple. We will let you know the depth of each canvas in the description, so you can stick to collecting one kind if that is important to you, or go with your heart if it's not.
