Dessert #27

A slightly skewed look at a Christmas cookie. Frosted in green and dotted with dragees. (A quick look on Wikipedia brings an interesting factiod that the US Food and Drug Administration does not consider the metalic shine on these little babies "edible.") In any case, I hope this cool blue and green treat will find a happy home. Or at least inspire you to get a little Christmas baking done. Enjoy! If you care to guess the painter, this little number will be $95, otherwise it is $105. It is a 5"x7" painted on a traditional, narrower canvas, and would look stunning in a fancy silver frame.

Dessert #26

Mmm... Mince Tarts. My Grandmother made mince tarts for Christmas, a little different from these, hers had solid tops with holes where she poked them with a fork. But they had this perfect golden glaze when the sugar browned in the oven. This piece is 4" x 6" and is painted on a deep canvas. $100, or $90 if you can guess who painted it. And if you've never tried a mince tart, make this the year!

Dessert #25

This little trio of gingerbread men is a perfect example of what we call a "swifty nifty!" A fun little piece that seems to paint itself. Nestle it in the greenery along a mantle for a burst of handmade holiday cheer. This piece measures 5" x 6", painted on a standard depth canvas. $75, or $65 if you guess who was was the swifty!

Dessert #24 **sold** (by Scott)

I have to tell you, I love this cupcake. And no point trying to be crafty about who painted it, this is Scott through and through. This piece is 5"x7" on a deep canvas, like the original cupcake series. Wouldn't this just brighten someone's day? $120

Dessert #23

A pair of snowflake sugar cookies to dress up your holiday decor. Sitting on a square of red, you may notice the primary color triad being used in this piece, red, the yellow of the cookies, and blue. The white is actually full of color on closer inspection. This little painting is 5" square, on a deep canvas, just like the cupcake series. $110, or a flat $100 if you can guess the artist.

I don't know about you, but for me Christmas = Chocolate. And this little rum ball does the trick. A sweet stocking stuffer for the chocoholic in your life. It measures 4" square, painted on a standard depth canvas. $75, or $65 if you can tell us who painted it.

Dessert #21

My Grandma made cookies like these. Called thumbprint cookies around here, she refered to them as"Bird Nests." Rolled in crushed walnuts and filled with a teaspoon of jelly, they were a staple of Christmas. Surrounded by a festive green, may they bring back a happy memory or two. 4" x 6" on a deep canvas. $95. Or $105 if you don't dare guess the painter.
