Dessert #29 is a very fancy thing indeed, a red velvet souffle drizzled with a bit of barely whipped cream. This piece is 5" square and is painted on a deep canvas. Pick the artist, and this piece is $100, otherwise it is $110. Enjoy!

Dessert #26

Mmm... Mince Tarts. My Grandmother made mince tarts for Christmas, a little different from these, hers had solid tops with holes where she poked them with a fork. But they had this perfect golden glaze when the sugar browned in the oven. This piece is 4" x 6" and is painted on a deep canvas. $100, or $90 if you can guess who painted it. And if you've never tried a mince tart, make this the year!

Dessert #22

I don't know about you, but for me Christmas = Chocolate. And this little rum ball does the trick. A sweet stocking stuffer for the chocoholic in your life. It measures 4" square, painted on a standard depth canvas. $75, or $65 if you can tell us who painted it.

Dessert #11

Oh, you must have a carrot cake lover on your Christmas list! Four layers of cake, thick cream cheese icing, I don't think I've ever met someone who doesn't like carrot cake. This piece is 6" square and is painted on a deep canvas that can be hung without a frame. And if you happen to collect Fiestaware, the color is chartreuse. Bring a smile to your kitchen! This piece is $145, or $135 if you can tell us who painted it!

Dessert #9 **sold** (by Scott)

Red velvet cake, dressed up with curls of white chocolate, and perched on a beautiful white pedestal. This piece is 5"x7", and painted on a deep canvas. Ready to hang with the edges painted black. I think you can probably guess who painted this one, and if you can, the price is $110. Or $120 if you can't!

Dessert #7

Here is a blast of color to wake up any spot it sits in! Dessert doesn't always come served on a plate, and this is a good example of that. This may remind you of a moment in your childhood, or of a favorite child. This little painting is 4" square, on a standard depth canvas that can be easily framed. You can add a little piece of original art to your collection for $75, or $65 if you guess who painted it.

Dessert #6

Some would argue that this falls into the breakfast category rather than the dessert category, but I bet you can hardly look at this painting without feeling the sugary crunch of the sprinkles between your teeth. I have imagined my way through this delicious thing, from the smell of the chocolate to licking the last bit of sticky off my fingers. This little conversation starter could hang anywhere, or would make a sweet gift! This piece is 5" square, on a deep canvas that can hang just like it is, or stand up on a counter. $110, or $100 if you can tell us who painted it!

Dessert #2 **sold** (painted by Scott)

The second piece in the series is a chocolate dipped strawberry resting in a fancy silver foil cup. The background is a soft violet. Like the first, this piece is 5" square and is painted on a deep canvas that can be left unframed. Can you tell if Scott or Kathrine painted this piece? The price is $110, but we'll take $10 off if you guess correctly.

Dessert #1

The first post! This is always makes me a little nervous, I'm sure I'll come back in a few minutes and find spelling mistakes galore! First things first, make sure you read all the blahblah on the right side of the page. That's where you'll be able to sign up to get an email when a new piece is posted, and get all the information you need to purchase.

When I was wondering which piece to begin with the answer I was given was to always begin with chocolate, so here we go...

Dessert #1 is a decadent piece of birthday cake, with thick dark chocolate icing. The pale yellow background brings a touch of sunshine into any room. This piece is 5" square and on a deeper 1 3/8" canvas, just like the cupcake series. And yes you can easily mix and match these with the cupcakes, and possibly even find a new cupcake or two to add. You never know!

Remember, we don't give away who painted it until purchased, just for fun! See you back here tomorrow.

Speaking of being nervous, I just realized I didn't post the price! The first piece in the series is $120, or $110 if you correctly guess which of us painted it.
